Curriculum in Aqida and Fiqh

As Salamu alaikum,

Could you explain to us how the Curriculum in an traditional zaidi education is organized?

Which books in Ilm al Kalam and Fiqh are to be studied? In which order?

wa alaykum asalam wa rahamat Allah wa barakatuh,

In a zaidi curriculum there are 7 major sub categories. I will mention the major books. The only books that are ordered properly are the Jurisprudence ones. In general the teacher gauges how advanced the students are and caters the lessons accordingly.

In general it is not recommend to self teach yourself. A teacher is necessary.

1) Figh(Jurisprudence):
التاج المذهب
البحر الزخار
شرح الأزهار

2) usul Alfigh(Rules of Jurisprudence ):
الكاشف لذوي العقول شرح متن الكافل
هداية العقول الى غاية السؤل

3) usul Aldeen (Theology ):
مصباح العلوم
الأساس في عقائد الأئمة الأكياس وشروحه
العقد الثمين في معرفة رب العالمين
الينابيع النصيحة

4) Alquran (Tafseer and tajweed):

الكشاف
المصابيح الساطعة الانوار ( تفسير اهل البيت عليهم السلام )
5) Arabic Language( Grammar and eloquence):

الآجرومية
and other grammar and eloquence books

6) Tarajum wa tabagat (Biographies)
طبقات الزيدية الكبرى
الحدائق الوردية
المصابيح في السيرة
التحف شرح الزلف
مقاتل الطالبيين

7) Hadith:
مسند الإمام زيد بن علي
أمالي أبي طالب
