wa alaykum as salaam wa rahma!
Thank you for your question! Can you specify to whom are you referring? The sons of Imam al-Haadi Yahya bin al-Hussein (as) are: Muhammad al-Murtaza (as) and Ahmed an-Naasir (as).
Thanks!

Thank you for your question!
Imam al-Hasan bin Yahya (as) was a great scholar of fiqh and was considered an authority for the Zaydiyya in Kufa. In fact, the Kufan Zaydiyya followed his madhhab. His fatawa and rulings are referred to in foundational texts such as Al-Jaami' al-Kaafi and Kitaab at-Tahriir.
He was very familiar with the consensus of the Ahl al-Bayt and would emphasise it in his judgements. For example, he said as recorded in Al-Jaami' al-Kaafi':
He died in the year 260 AH. May Allah have mercy on this great imam!
And Allah knows best!

The consensus of the Messenger's Progeny holds to the washing of the feet [in wudu], as well as to the prohibition of wiping over the leather socks, the feet, the headscarf, the turban and the cap. If one were to do that, one's ritual purity would be invalidated--whether woman or man.
He died in the year 260 AH. May Allah have mercy on this great imam!

Thank you for your questions!
As for those from whom Imam al-Hasan b. Yahya (as) took knowledge, they include: Imam al-Qasim ar-Rassi (as), Yahya b. al-Hussein (his father), Naasir b. Mazaahim, Ibrahim b. Muhammad b. Maymun and Diraar b. Sard. As for those who took from him, they include: Imam Naasir lil-Haqq (as), Yahya b. al-Hasan al-Aqiqi, Abu Mas'ab. (Ref. Al-Jidaawal as-Sughra)
I don't believe he participated in any battle, but he, Imam Ahmed b. Isa b. Zayd (as) and Imam Abdullah b. Musa (as) took the oath of allegiance to Imam al-Qasim ar-Rassi (as) as the imam.
And Allah knows best!
