Assalam alaykum !
If someone misses a prayer of the day and can only make it during the evening, or if someone misses the dawn prayer and can only do it during the day, should he recite aloud or in a low voice?
If someone misses a traveler's prayer and can make it when his journey is over, when he has returned at home, should he do this prayer as a normal prayer or as a traveler's prayer?

Wa alaykum asalam,
Reciting aloud or in a low voice depends on which prayer you are praying. When you pray the prayer doesn't affect this condition.
On the other hand shortening prayer can only be done while in the state of traveling. When you are not in the state of traveling you must not shorten you prayer. In other words if you miss prayers at home and make them up while traveling then you can shorten and vice versa.
