السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Is it recommended to do a sadjah of shukr after every obligatory prayer like the Jaffari shias do ? Or is it only in particular situations when a believer wants to express his gratitude to Allah the Glorious after he blessed him with something ? Could you maybe also describe the etiquettes of sajdah of shukr according to the zaidi school (particular duas, wudhu required or not etc.)

Sajdah Alshukr is performed whenever the slave of Allah wants to thank his lord for something. You can perform it every day or after every prayer, but I have not heard of such recommendation. You must be in a wudu state and you can recite the normal tasbeeh of the sujud in Salah, which is "Subhan Allah Ala'ala wa behamdih ." But, then again, Sajdah Alshukr is not an obligatory action therefor if you feel the need to do it without wudu then do it and Allah is the only one which shall accept or reject.

May Allah guide you and I to that which pleases him.

And Allah knows best.
